Willard School abatement and demolition timing
Contractors will be on site starting with ground floor window and roof abatement on the old building. Once the windows are abated, they will have plywood or another barrier covering the windows until demolition occurs.
The demolition of the old building is scheduled to start on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 7:00 a.m. There will be parts of 6th St and Ash St. that will be blocked off to vehicle traffic during the demolition on June 17th. There will also be fencing to keep pedestrians out of the demolition area.
The site will remain active with crews through mid-August while demolition is completed and the new parking lot and landscaping are finalized. We will keep you posted if any old bricks from the building will be available for the community to reuse.
Everyone at MCPS and Sletten Companies would like to offer our appreciation for your patience while this construction project continues in your neighborhood. If you have any questions or concerns during the remaining construction and demolition process, please address them to:

Wyoming Street notice of construction
Notice is given that the Wyoming Street – Prince to California Improvements Project will begin at the end of June 2019 and be completed within 90 calendar days.
This project combines a water main installation project with a road reconstruction project on Wyoming Street between Prince Street and California Street. The project is funded by the Missoula Redevelopment Agency, Missoula Water, and the Montana Department of Transportation. The goals of the combined project are to minimize disturbance to the neighborhood, improve access and redundancy in the domestic water system, and enhance public safety through the installation of curb, gutter, sidewalk, and street lighting.
During construction, a temporary disruption of City water service during final water main connections and road closures on Wyoming Street can be expected. Emergency access and local access to Wyoming Street will remain open throughout construction.
If you have any questions regarding the water main installation, please contact Ross Mollenhauer, Utility Project Manager at Missoula Water (406) 552-6764. For questions regarding road improvements, please contact Tod Gass, Sr. Project Coordinator, MRA (406) 552-6159 or Stephen McDaniel, Project Engineer, WGM Group (406) 728-4611.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during construction!
Tod Gass, Sr. Project Coordinator - MRA
