Energize Your Neighborhood! The City of Missoula Neighborhood Grants are back to fund another round of community projects. Neighborhood Energizer Grants support resident-initiated projects that improve our neighborhoods and the city as a whole. These projects will facilitate civic cooperation, neighbor engagement, and community building; create real physical improvements to benefit Missoulians; and engage in community planning or visioning, all at the neighborhood scale. Each year, the Missoula City Council allocates $20,000 for Neighborhood Project Funds (NPF) for the Energize Your Neighborhood grants. Small grants are no longer available. Grant recipients are awarded up to $6,000 each. These grant projects must enhance the quality of life in our community. The project must be located within city limits and have lasting benefit for city residents. The timeline for this grant application has shifted from last grant cycle. The grant application is open now and can be found on the Missoula Neighborhood website here: https://www.ci.missoula.mt.us/304/Neighborhood-Grants. The application will be due on Friday, December 16th at 5:00 pm. The completed application and attachments can be submitted in hard print copy or electronic copy. If you are interested in hearing more about this grant or want to dive into the application process, join us for the Energize Your Neighborhood Grant Workshop on Monday, November 7th at 6pm via Microsoft Teams. This workshop will also be recorded. We will go over the grant program, the specifics within the grant application and staff will be present to answer any questions that possible applicants may have. It is also an opportunity to talk through your grant ideas and to receive advice on how to move forward.
