Invest Health Peer to Peer Exchange Collaborative Grant (May 2018)

On May 14 and 15, 2018, Missoula Invest Health Team hosted other Invest Health cities Eau Claire, WI and Iowa City, IA. The event started with a meeting with Mayor Engen.

The events included an active transportation discussion (PDF) with the Broader Impact Group, an evening of housing presentations (Iowa City (PDF), Eau Claire (PDF)) and discussion, a community health conversation (PDF), and a neighborhood Walkabout (PDF).

Healthy Neighborhood Walkabouts (Oct 2016)

The Missoula Invest Health Team partnered with neighborhood councils to conduct neighborhood walkabouts in three Missoula neighborhoods, River Road, Franklin to the Fort, and the Northside/Westside Neighborhood. This was an opportunity for the Invest Health Team to see each neighborhood through the eyes of the residents and champions and to learn what it is like to live, work, and play in their neighborhoods.

While walking through portions of the neighborhoods, the Invest Health Team asked a series of question and photographed the experience. The following notes and photo albums are the result of each Neighborhood Walkabout.

This information, coupled with other resources, will help the neighborhoods, champions and Invest Health Team work toward the goal of developing strategies to improve neighborhood health and well-being through transportations, parks, trails, housing, etc.
