Missoula Movers - Active Adults Outdoors!

Whether you want to try something new or you’re an old pro at recreating with Parks and Recreation, Missoula Movers is for you. It’s a wonderful way to explore Western Montana, stay active, spark a new leisure passion, make new friends or just have a great time.

All programs meet at Currents Aquatic Center. Please bring appropriate footwear, water, food and clothing for all trips. Programs are geared for active adults 55+, but all adults are welcome.

Missoula Movers Coffee Walks

Don’t spend the winter inside! Enjoy the company of new and old friends on guided walks through Missoula’s conservation lands, parks, and trails. We’ll provide snowshoes if it snows! After our walks, we’ll enjoy hot drinks and good company. Please dress for winter outdoor activity.  Meets Mondays at Currents, 9am-12pm. Fee: $5 (Sorry, no CityCard discount.) Missoula Movers Snowshoe Adventures

Enjoy all the wonders winter can bring on one of our adult snowshoe programs. No experience necessary. Snowshoes provided. Bring a bathing suit and towel, (Quinn’s and Bitterroot trips) lunch, and water. Programs meet at Currents Aquatics Center. Dress for winter outdoor activity. Fees include instruction and transportation.

Valentine’s Day Snowshoe & Stew

February 10, 10am - 4pm, $48, $39 with CityCard
Snowshoe with us high above the Hellgate Canyon to the Mittower Gulch region found right outside of Missoula. Lunch will bring us to our cozy wall tent atop a snowy knoll with a roaring fire, warm drinks, and a hot winter stew freshly prepared by a local chef. This is the perfect trip for your Valentine or to enjoy with your friends.  Activity #1252700-01

Quinn’s Hike & Soak

February 17, 9am - 4pm, $48, $39 with CityCard
If Ullr, the Norse God of Snow comes through, we’ll snowshoe to an overlook of the Clark Fork River. If it doesn’t snow, we’ll take to the trail for a hike. Afterwards, we will retreat to the heated mineral waters of Quinn’s Hot Spring to soak and enjoy good company. Activity #1252700-02

Bitterroot Snowshoe & Soak

March 3, 9am - 4pm, $48, $39 with CityCard
The Bitterroots hold some of the most amazing views and trails around.  Join us as we adventure down Fred Burr Trail and then hit a relaxing soak in the Lost Trail Hot Springs. Activity #1252700-03

Missoula Movers Nordic Ski Classes

Winter’s more fun when you are gliding on snow! Improve your technique or learn a new winter pastime. These classes are perfect for any level of experience. We will focus on technique, trail navigation, and tips and tricks of Nordic (cross-country) skiing. Bring lunch, water, and appropriate clothing. Rent skis at University of Montana Campus Recreation or The Trail Head.
