Missoula Movers - Active Adults Outdoors!

Whether you want to try something new or you’re an old pro at recreating with Parks and Recreation, Missoula Movers is for you. It’s a wonderful way to explore Western Montana, stay active, spark a new leisure passion, make new friends or just have a great time.

All programs meet at Currents Aquatic Center. Please bring appropriate footwear, water, food and clothing for all trips. Programs are geared for active adults 55 and over, but all adults are welcome.

Missoula Movers Coffee Walks

Enjoy the company of new and old friends on guided, physically distanced walks through Missoula’s conservation lands, parks, and trails. Please bring a mask for those times when you might not be able to maintain a 6’ distance from others. After the walk, we’ll enjoy coffee from local shops and good company. (Coffee time is outdoors with physical distancing.) 

Hikes are approximately 50 minutes out, approximately 45 minutes back.

Snowshoe & Nordic Ski Clinics

For active adults of all ages!

Winter’s more fun on snow! Improve your technique or learn a new pastime in Classic Nordic Skiing or snowshoeing in our adult clinic series. We will focus on technique, trail navigation, and tips and tricks.  Bring lunch, water, and appropriate clothing. 

For Nordic Clinics you will need to provide your own skis and boots. Rentals are available through University of Montana Campus Recreation or The Trail Head. Snowshoes can be provided upon request by Missoula Parks & Recreation.

Transportation is optional and provided for up to 7 participants to allow social distancing; first-come, first-serve. Masks are required inside city vehicles.
