About the Open Space Advisory Committee

The Missoula City Council is seeking applications for volunteers to serve on the Open Space Advisory Committee (OSAC). Three terms beginning January 26, 2021 and ending on January 25, 2024.

The following non-paying positions are open:

  • Three members that are qualified electors (registered to vote) and either reside in the City limits or within the Missoula Planning Region.

OSAC is charged with doing everything in its power to implement the Missoula Urban Area Open Space Plan. The committee provides the City Council with written recommendations concerning open space conservation proposals, including proposed acquisitions and trail development proposals, pursuant to the guidance of the Missoula 2006 Updated Open Space Plan adopted by the City.

Applicants for the board will interview with the City Council’s Parks & Conservation Committee. The committee meets monthly.
