Firewise SurveyA survey is being conducted by students the University of Montana, in partnership with the Missoula County Office of Emergency Management, to evaluate homeowner knowledge, behaviors, and educational preferences regarding landscaping strategies to protect their properties from wildfire. Results will help inform development of educational opportunities and resources to community members, as well as furthering understanding of community wildfire protection. The survey is estimated to take less than 20 minutes and consists of 18 questions. Your decision to take part in this research study is entirely voluntary. You have the option to not respond to any questions that you choose. Participation or nonparticipation will not impact your relationship with the University of Montana or Missoula County. All responses are confidential and will not tie back to the recipient. Final results will only be shared as summaries across all respondents; no specific respondent’s answers will be shared. Submission of the survey will be interpreted as your informed consent to participate and that you affirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
