February Greetings! RCWG is delighted to start our Rattlesnake Stories Series with a presentation on Early History of the Rattlesnake-Salish to Settlers by Myna Dumontier and Sally Thompson. The event will be held: Sunday February 26 from 2-3:30 pm Missoula Public Library Cooper Room B402, 4th Floor. Myrna’s Salish history dates back to the end of the Pleistocene with the emptying of Glacial Lake Missoula and continues on to this very day. Sally’s ethnohistorical research zooms in on early settlement by non-Indians, in particular through the lens of Greenough Park. They will share their knowledge of early history of the lower Rattlesnake Valley. The event is free and open to the public. We look forward to seeing you there!
