Fundraising Efforts

Make a Contribution
The Missoula Fire Department (MFD) is currently fundraising for two different projects. If you would like to make a contribution to our efforts, please make your check payable to the City of Missoula, note the program you are supporting on the memo line and send your donation to:
Missoula Fire Department

Missoula, MT 59802

We will send you a receipt and thank you letter. For questions, call us at 406-552-6210.

Donations to the City of Missoula, a non-profit entity, may be tax deductible. Please contact a tax professional or your governmental taxing authority to determine if your donation is tax deductible.

Smoke Detector Program
Our Smoke Detector Program goal is to assure that every residential property classification in Missoula, whether house, apartment, condo, or duplex, has a working smoke detector. To date, we have provided over 12,000 smoke detectors and over 30,000 batteries during our door-to-door campaign.

The program is partially funded by grants, but it still falls short of our need. Smoke detectors for those who are hearing and vision impaired costs about $100 each. If you would like to help our smoke detector program, please send your contribution to our Headquarters.
