Handicapped Parking Violation

A handicapped parking violation is when a vehicle is parked without a permit in a space designated for people with disabilities.

Improper Parking

Improper parking is when a vehicle is parked in the wrong direction of the flow of traffic, taking up two spaces, or in a special zone without a permit when required.

Lease Only

A lease only violation is when a vehicle is not properly displaying a valid lease permit for the area in which it is parked.

Meter Violation

A meter violation is issued when a vehicle is parked in a metered space during pay-parking hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm) and valid time for the vehicle license plate can not be found.

No Parking Violation

A no parking violation is when a vehicle is parked on a sidewalk, blocking a driveway, at a meter bag, or in posted no parking areas. For more detailed information on No Parking areas, view the MMC Parking Ordinances

Overtime Violation

An overtime violation is issued when a vehicle is parked at a timed area for longer than the maximum time limit.

Yellow Zone

A yellow zone violation is issued when a vehicle is parked too close to a crosswalk, a sidewalk, or an intersection.
