Local rebates available starting June 1, 2023.
The City of Missoula and Missoula County are partnering to offer a local $500 rebate for heat pump water heaters for projects completed in Missoula County. Fill out a satisfaction survey after your project is complete and receive an additional $75. Plus, expanding federal tax credits can cover up to 30% of project costs!
Eligible products can be found in the Consortium for Energy Efficiency's directory of electric water heaters.
How to apply.
Before you apply, learn more about heat pump water heaters to make sure they are right for you. If you haven't yet purchased a water heater, you can apply to and get pre-qualified for a rebate. (Find a list of local retailers & installers here.) If you've already purchased a heat pump water heater, you are eligible for a rebate if the purchase was made after June 1, 2023, pending funding availability.
