Neighborhood Training

Building Local Leaders

The City of Missoula recognizes that our democracy is enriched by the active participation of an informed citizenry. Neighborhood Councils were formed to create a grassroots citizenry and strengthen neighborhood participation in the City governance. Leaders and active members of leadership teams are charged with building opportunities for neighborhood communication, neighborhood-initiated projects, interaction, and problem solving. In order for active members and leaders to effectively engage other citizens, Leadership Training is offered to help develop the skills of those involved.
