Neighborhood Grants
Neighborhood Project Funds
Each year, the Missoula City Council allocates $20,000 for Neighborhood Project Funds (NPF) for large grants and small grants. Approximately $18,000 is targeted for large grants, and $2,000 is allocated for small grants.
Small Grant Program
The application includes new criteria. Please read the grant application carefully to ensure your application meets the requirements.
- Application deadline is the last Thursday of the month in order to be considered at Community Forum the following month.
- Small Grants are awarded up to $500, on a monthly basis.
- Project must be located within city limits and have lasting benefit for city residents.
- Project must be sponsored by a Neighborhood Council Leadership Team or the Community Forum Leadership Team and documented in detail in the minutes of the meeting.
- Awardees must give recognition to Neighborhood Councils and/or the Community Forum.

Large Grant Program

- Application deadline is October 29, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
- Grant recipients are awarded up to $3,000 each.
- Large grant projects should enhance the quality of life in our community.
- Project must be located within city limits and have lasting benefit for city residents.

PRE-APPLICATION WORKSHOP
A pre-application workshop will be held on September 16, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Applicants are strongly advised to attend as the grants are awarded on a competitive basis.
- Get ideas for projects
- Read through successful applications
- Identify the committee review process and use of funds
- Ask questions about applying for a grant
- Gain technical assistance for grant writing
