  • Ponderosa Pine
  • Linden
  • Swamp White Oak
  • Bur Oak
  • Green Mountain Sugar Maple
  • Crabapple
There are currently seven locations where you can request your tree be planted:
  • Franklin Park
  • McCormick Park
  • Marilyn Park
  • Northside Park
  • Playfair Park
  • Rainbow Park
  • Wapikiya Park
The Urban Forestry division will take into consideration the tree you have chosen and the park you prefer and decide on the final location. Requests must be received by February 1st to be planted that spring. All others will be planted the following spring.

Memorial Trees cost $500 which includes a two inch or larger diameter tree, and two commemorative plaques. One plaque will be placed at the Memorial Tree and the other is kept for replacement if needed. In addition, Parks and Recreation staff will notify you when your Memorial Tree has been completed and include a photo of the tree.

If you are interested in the Memorial Tree Program please complete and return the application to 100 Hickory Street. Please direct any questions regarding this program to the Parks & Recreation Operations Department at 406-552-6253.
