Zootown Derailleurs

Join the fun and help your child catch biking fever!

MORE partnered with MTB Missoula to start this co-rec skills-based program, and Zootown Derailleurs has exploded onto the cycling scene. The coaching team includes some of the top riders in the Missoula area. From Strider bikes to high school riders, coaches help motivate and develop skills for any level of rider—ages 3-18. Don’t have a mountain bike? We have a limited number of bikes available for your use. Phone 552-6271 for more information.

The 6-week season runs Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, September 11 to October 18, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Choose Tuesday or Thursday practices, or register for both days. Fee is $110/$75 with CityCard, or $220/$150 with CityCard for both Tuesday and Thursday sessions. Fee includes Derailleurs jersey and team swag. Practice may be cancelled occasionally due to inclement weather. Cancelled practices will not be rescheduled due to cold temperatures and reduced daylight hours in late fall. Riders age 7 and up should have hand brakes on their bike. Grants for families who need financial assistance are available with support from MTB Missoula.

The first practice meets at McCormick Park, subsequent practices meet at Marshall Mountain. Shuttles to Marshall leave McCormick Park at 3:30 p.m. and return at 6 p.m. Join us for a pre-season bike tuning/cleaning and waiver drop-off party on Monday, September 10 in McCormick Park from 4-5:30 pm. It's a great chance to get your bikes ready for the season, drop off paperwork, meet new coaches and ride

Looking for a way for your child to participate while you're working? Don't worry! Simply sign up for our Afterschool program on Derailleur Days. We will pick kids up from school, feed them a snack, and get them to practice! (Rattlesnake, Paxson, Lowell, Lewis and Clark, Russell and Chief Charlo)
