Coached Adult Lap Swim in the Lake


June 12 - Sept. 4


Join our experienced coaches for a swim team-style workout. They will guide participants through a professionally designed workout, providing positive encouragement and workout routines.

Beginner's Coached Lap Swim in the Lake

Our experienced coaches will instruct you in Lap Swimming 101. Learn circle swimming, flip turns and how to use a clock to complete structured workouts.

High School Fitness Swim

Open lanes allow high school swimmers and potential high school swimmers to develop fitness, skills and speed necessary for achieving your personal best in the pool. Program includes skills, drills and motivation for improvement.

Job Training for Teens



Jr. Swim Instructor at Splash Montana


As part of one of our pre-professional programs, youth will gain job experience and improve their swimming technique through assisting instructors in teaching swim lessons. Participants begin the day an hour before youth swim lessons with water safety training, advanced swimming skills and teaching techniques. When youth lessons start, the Jr. Instructors are assigned to Rec Cross certified Water Safety Instructors. Jr. Instructors receive a free volunteer staff T-shirt. 

Participants must be able to swim 20 yards using front and back crawl and elementary backstroke. Fee is for 4-class session. Students who complete the class requirements will have the opportunity to volunteer throughout the summer to gain valuable employment experience. This program is available as part of Missoula Parks and Recreation's Teen Workreation program. For ages 12-15.

Fee is $20/$16 with CityCard/$15 with annual pass.

Jr. Lifeguard at Splash Montana


The Jr. Lifeguard program introduces youth to lifeguarding skills such as surveillance, safe water rescue and prevention procedures. After completion of the skills class, youth can volunteer by assisting certified lifeguards as they patrol the pools. Volunteers who register as a Jr. Lifeguard will receive a T-shirt and whistle. 

Participants should be able to swim 20 yards using front and back crawl, elementary backstroke and side stroke. Fee is for 4-class session. Students who complete the class requirements may have the opportunity to volunteer throughout the summer to gain valuable employment experience. This program is available as part of the Missoula Parks and Recreation's Teen Workreation program. For ages 12-15.

Ride a Slide-a-Thon


All Summer!


See how many times you can ride the slides this summer, and win a prize when you reach 100 rides. Register at the front desk and pick up a wristband. Each time you go down the slides, have the slide attendant mark your band. Bring your wristband back to the front desk to have them total your slides each day. Must be 48" to ride the slides. 

Swim Squad


June 12 - August 16, Mon./Wed. 10-11am


Swim Squad allows kids to refine their technique and raise endurance while gently introducing them to competitive swimming. Youth are coached in swim team-style workouts, equipment and terminology. This program provides a regular swim fitness training program for youth. Kids are welcome to join at any point throughout the season. Attend at least 10 practices in a season and earn a Swim Squad T-shirt. At the end of the season you can sign up for a Just-for-Fun Swim Meet. 

Practices are on a punch card system, so you can attend the practice dates that work best for you. Punch cards roll over from season to season. For those who have completed at least one introductory level Stoke School course, or level 4 of the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program. For ages 6-13.

Currents offers a Swim Squad that meets Tues./Thurs. 4:25-5:25pm June 13 - August 17.

10-practice card is $30 or $25 with a CityCard
20-practice card is $50 or $40 with a CityCard

Just-For-Fun Swim Meets


Our swim meets are relaxed affairs where everyone is a winner. Other pre-competitive squads from around Missoula will be invited to to participate in our friendly swim meet. At our meets, we do not keep of places or points. We celebrate every swimmer's individual times and accomplishments. Fee is $7. For ages 6-13.

Adult Night


Wednesdays, June 28, July 19 and August 19, 6-9pm


Here's your chance to swim like a kid again! Beginning at 6pm, Splash Montana will be open for individuals 18+. Fee is regular admission or the use of a pass. 

Swim-a-Thon for Charity


Sunday, July 23, 9-11am


Make a team of 4 swimmers, get pledges per lap or a flat amount, then swim as much as you can in two hours to raise the level of donation. The team that earns the most in donations will get to choose the charity from a list of pre-selected charities (all charities must have verified 501c3 non-profit status and must align with the City's nondiscrimination policy). We encourage corporate challenges for donations. For the swim itself, swimmers can work alone or in relay groups to attain their lap goals. 

Extended Lap Swim


Aug. 28 - Sept. 4, 11am-1pm and 5-7pm


Currents only passes will be valid at Splash Montana during Current's annual maintenance closure (Aug. 26 - Sept. 4).
