Missoula City Cemetery, established in 1884, is one of the oldest operating cemeteries in the Missoula valley. The City of Missoula purchased the cemetery in 1901. Missoula City Cemetery is widely recognized for its beauty, tranquility, and pristine grounds.

We proudly remain a vibrant, active part of the community where walkers, joggers, and visitors come daily.

Missoula City Cemetery is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. A walk through the historic section reveals names of Missoula's founders and many unique handcrafted monuments.

Enjoy some of the life histories found within our cemetery that include colorful characters, prominent businessmen and women, working-class families, and one Hollywood movie star. If you have a story to share, please email the cemetery.
